School Pupils
Did you know that even if you are still at School you can study with Banff and Buchan College? You could explore areas that interest you, helping to jump-start your Further Education! We offer a range of Vocational qualifications to suit the needs of young people. When selecting your other school subjects, you may be able to choose college subjects which lead to recognised qualifications. An important feature of our courses is that they provide you with the chance to develop practical skills and knowledge in the subject area you have chosen. They also help develop Employability skills and attitudes that employers look for and are beneficial in many other walks of life.
Higher +
Higher + is a unique opportunity for S5 and S6 pupils to combine their Highers (at school) with attendance at Banff and Buchan College to complete an SQA Higher National Certificate (HNC). To complete the full HNC you attend College for one day a week over two years. During this time you will complete units which will build to give you the 12 credits required to gain the full HNC. HNC’s are traditionally seen as the leading qualifications for technical and first-line management professions so Higher + could help open many doors for you – it will give you an edge over your peers when applying for a place at University or when seeking employment.
