Commitment
The College has several schemes, plans and policies in place which ensure that effective measures are taken to eliminate discrimination and promote diversity within the College community. Everyone is welcomed and every reasonable measure is taken to ensure that you have the best possible College experience.
Access for all
If you have any specific requirements or needs which you would like to talk to us about before applying for a particular course, you can contact a member of the Guidance and Counselling Team. Together, you can discuss your individual needs to find the best way forward. You can also detail your requirements on the College application form. Early indication of your needs will greatly assist us to tailor our course delivery, and therefore ensure that you gain maximum benefit and satisfaction during your time at the College. Please do not hesitate to let us know if you require an application form in large print.
Breaking down the barriers
The College has taken a number of actions to improve access to learning. Included among these are a range of measures to ensure that disabled students have access to the same level of student support services as their non-disabled peers. We also wish to address any other barriers you feel may make it difficult for you to come to College and we would therefore encourage you to bring any percieved barriers to our attention.
Responsibilities
All members of staff and students have a role to play in ensuring that equality of access and opportunity is afforded to everybody and that discrimination is not tolerated.
Monitoring
We regularly monitor progress in the implementation of these policies and consult with students, staff and representative bodies leading to the production of an annual report with identified actions to be taken where necessary.
Complaints
