Beautified Pudsey at Huntly Learning Centre
Posted on 18, Nov 2011
Even Pudsey took some time off on Friday 18th November to have his hair and nails done! The busy bear went to the Huntly Learning Centre where pupils from Kemnay Academy were fund raising for Children in Need.
The class are currently studying Skills for Work in Hairdressing at the Centre and they raised £110 by raffling a Pudsey cake, providing treatments which included a make-over for two members of staff from Kemnay Academy, mini manicures and a lucky dip. Anna Robertson was the lucky winner of the Pudsey cake and she was delighted with her prize.
Hazel Fraser – Lecturer in Hairdressing at Banff and Buchan College said “I would like to thanks the girls who all worked really hard, staff members Linda McMasters and Frances Fraser of Kemnay Academy, who arrived in their pyjamas ready for the make-over and Elaine Gordon from the Huntly Learning Centre for selling raffles and lucky dip tickets. We all had a fantastic day, which was very hectic but a really fun way to raise some money for Children in Need.”
