College Fundraiser Raises £350 for Breast Cancer Research

An annual ‘Go Pink’ fundraising event was held at Banff and Buchan College on 28th October 2011 and has raised over £350 for breast cancer research.

Staff were able to purchase home baked pieces of cakes and muffins generously donated by the College staff. The sale took place in the main atrium of the College at a stand served by ‘Go Pink’ ladies dressed in pink. Staff could also make a donation to wear something pink on the day.

Diane Duncan who organized the whole event said “Thanks to all who helped me on the day, gave generously in donations and to those who gave up their Thursday night to do some last minute baking for the bake sale – it was a feast of delights and took all of 16 minutes to be sold! My thanks also belong to those who dressed in pink and helped a worthwhile charity close to all our hearts in one way or another.”
