Energy Girls Visit Score

Female pupils at Turriff Academy studying the Girls into Energy programme with Banff and Buchan College enjoyed a visit to Score to find out more about what it’s like for a woman to work in the energy industry.

The visit was led by William Forman, Fiona Johnston and Gordon Milne and the girls had an opportunity to tour round the Glenugie and Wellbank sites and enjoyed a presentation from Chairman Charles Ritchie of Score Group Plc.

Heather Sim from Banff and Buchan College said “Throughout the visit the girls had opportunities to speak with many female engineers who are already working in the industry and it was great for the girls to be able to hear about their experiences and ask them questions. Feedback from the girls is that quite a few of them are now more positive about Engineering as a future career.”
