Outstanding students at Banff and Buchan College have been recognised for their achievements in a prize giving celebration at the College.

This year Charles Ritchie from Score presented awards to Pawel Naprawski (originally from Poland but now resides in Turriff) who is a full time Banff and Buchan College student, Steven Birkett (Peterhead) who works for Score and Cameron Croll (Peterhead) who also works for Score.

Curriculum leader for Mechanical Engineering Stevie Wilson said “Both Steven Birkett and Cameron Croll have achieved remarkable results, demonstrated a commitment to their studies and have been identified by their lecturers as having a positive attitude to their studies. They are both a great asset to their employer.”

Curriculum Leader for Electrical and Electronic Engineering Ian Barbour said “Pawel was on the full time NC Electrical/Electronic course with measurement & control last year and is now on the HNC Measurement and Control. He received the award for his attendance and work ethic on the course.”

Charles Ritchie, Chairman of Score Group plc said “These young engineers have created an admirable place in society for themselves, they are the front line engineers and bread winners of tomorrow and they should be very proud of that achievement. In 20 years’ time they will look back and appreciate the time they spent at Banff and Buchan College, they will realise its crucial worth to the local area and the value it has added to their professional lives. Banff and Buchan College is a special place and it needs support from all areas of industry, we all appreciate the benefits of having this facility in the locality.”
